INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Place lock washer (#4) over end of nipple (#5) protruding through crossbar (#6)

and thread hex nut (#7) onto nipple (#5) until tight. Take this crossbar assembly

and mount to outlet box with outlet box screws (#8). Tighten screws securely with

screwdriver. The side of the crossbar marked “GND” must face out.

2. By measuring determine correct number of links needed of proper hanging height

use pliers to open one end link of the chain and discard un-wanted chain.

3. Using the quick link (#10) to connect the loop of the fixture body to the free end of

Canopy with Loop and chain (#12).

4. Lace the fixture’s wire through the chain and pull until taut. Feed the fixture’s wire

through the nipple which in Canopy with Loop and chain (#12), pull until taut.

5. At this point, Connect the neutral wire (ribbed) from the fixture to the white house

(neutral) wire from the Outlet Box and the lead wire (smooth) from the fixture to

the black house (hot) wire from the Outlet Box. Cover the two wire connections

using the two provided Wire Connector (#9). Wrap the two wire connections with

electrical tape for a more secure connection. If your outlet has a ground wire

(green or bare copper), connect fixture’s ground wire to it using the Wire

Connector (#9). Otherwise connect fixture’s ground wire directly to the Ground

Screw (#13) on the Crossbar (#6). Note: If you have electrical questions, consult

your local electrical code for approved grounding methods.

6. After wires are connected tuck them carefully inside the outlet box and then raise

the canopy onto the nipple (#5) up to the ceiling, secure it tightened by Finial (#14).

7. Installation is complete. Turn on the power at the circuit breaker or fuse box. Turn

the light switch on to activate the fixture.
